Electric Bike FAQs

How does BAOLUJIE's factory ownership ensure product quality?

As we possess in-house design and manufacturing capabilities (our own factory), every stage—from concept to final assembly—is under our strict Quality Control (QC). This leads to faster innovation, higher quality standards, and a more reliable supply chain.

Which is better: a Mid-Drive Motor or a Hub Motor?

Mid-Drive Motors offer higher torque and better efficiency, especially for e-mountain bikes and climbing hills. Hub Motors are simpler, more affordable, and lower maintenance, ideal for commuter bikes. The choice depends on your riding objectives.

Does the weight of an E-bike affect the riding experience?

Yes, it does. Lighter models (like Folding or some Mountain ebikes) are more agile and easier to transport, while heavier models (like Retro or Dirt ebikes) generally offer more stability and can accommodate stronger motors/batteries. It's a balance of features.

What is an Electric Bike (Ebike), and how does it differ from a regular bicycle?

An Electric Bike is a bicycle equipped with a battery and a motor that provides Pedal-Assist (PAS) or a throttle mode. It makes riding easier, especially uphill, and allows you to travel further and faster with less effort.

Can I ride my electric bike in the rain or wet conditions?

Yes. All our electric components are designed with water-resistance (e.g., IPX rating) to handle light rain and wet environments. However, we do not recommend riding in heavy downpours or submerging the bike in water.

Is daily maintenance and upkeep of an E-bike difficult?

Maintenance is slightly more involved than a regular bike but remains simple. It primarily involves regularly checking brake pads, tire pressure, and chain lubrication. Avoiding overcharging/discharging the battery is key to extending its lifespan.

Are electric bikes suitable for climbing hills or rough terrain?

Absolutely. The powerful high-torque motor is specifically designed for hill climbing. If you frequently ride on rough terrain, we recommend our Mountain Ebike series, which features superior suspension.

What is the difference between the Pedal-Assist System (PAS) and Throttle mode on an E-bike?

The PAS (Pedal-Assist System) requires you to pedal for the motor to engage. Throttle mode allows you to accelerate without pedaling, operating more like a scooter. Our models typically offer both modes to suit various riding preferences.
